16 WAYS TO SMELL A RAT
For decades, anti-virus - and more recently anti-trojan software have been
compared to each other, with the question being "Which detects more?".
However, here is one more question you should be asking yourself - "How
thoroughly does my scanner attempt to detect trojans/viruses?"
Our tests show that most anti-virus and anti-trojan systems use just a few
methods to determine if a file\process is a trojan or virus. The simple
truth of the matter is this... if the scanner only uses one method of
detection, there is basically only one change that a trojan author needs
to make to have his trojan "slip through" the scanner.
TDS-3 has no less than 16 unique primary methods of detection - many of
them pioneered here at DiamondCS and exclusive to TDS-3 and WormGuard

system available.

The final beta release of TDS-3 - Beta 4 - is now available. Beta 3 users
can upgrade to Beta 4 simply be downloading and running
http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/tds3b4up.exe from their TDS-3 directory. The
upgrade is just 715kb
