since this mail list banned attachments because people don't want the bother
of downloading them, the quality of information has gone down. imagine
textbooks without images, because they were inconvenient. the `solution' of
web sites is SLOWER for me, since now the human -- me -- has to wait instead
of the computer downloading my mail in the background.
i'm disappointed with this consensus.
