Carl,
I get my data from the Internet. I get my data from ESI and PC-Quote
Europe. I get end of day data and then I check for missing data and
for data errors and then import the data into my MetaStock databases.
If you go this route you may want to check out how 'dirty' your data
supply is (the US seems to be infinitely better than the UK for this).
On my Web site there is a Perl script (Perl 5 required) which checks
and cleans MetaStock 'oven-ready' ASCII.
Ignore the rest of the site; been unable to put cursor to editor lately
what with the wedding, honeymoons, workloads...
But if you find the Perl script useful then feel free to grab it. If
there are any shortcomings then please let me know.
