<h3>Company Press Release</h3><h2>Day Traders On-line subscribers pocket
big profits shorting Rambus &amp; Apple while going long Applied
Materials and Western Digital Corp.</h2>
<!-- TextStart -->

<p>
MONTEREY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 14, 1997--Subscribers
to Day Traders On-line (one of the Internet's most popular day
trading sites and on-line financial newsletters) cashed in big on
August 11th with shares of <a
href="http://biz.yahoo.com/news/rmbs.html";>Rambus, Inc.</a> (NASDAQ:<a
href="http://quote.yahoo.com/quotes?symbols=rmbs&detailed=t";>RMBS</a>)
when members
of their real time trading desk were alerted that the company's stock
appeared to be an ideal short candidate.

<p>
Members following the real time alert at the trading desk went
short with the stock at $86 a share and watched Rambus fall to $65
for a 21 point gain. This was just days after Day Traders On-line
called <a href="http://biz.yahoo.com/news/aapl.html";>Apple Computer,
Inc</a> (NASDAQ:<a
href="http://quote.yahoo.com/quotes?symbols=aapl&detailed=t";>AAPL</a>)
short on August the 7th
during frenzied buying of the stock after <a
href="http://biz.yahoo.com/news/msft.html";>Microsoft</a> (NASDAQ:<a
href="http://quote.yahoo.com/quotes?symbols=msft&detailed=t";>MSFT</a>)
announced they would invest $150 million dollars into the computer
company. Members received a real time alert to consider shorting
Apple at a price of $29 3/4 and by August 12th shares had fallen 7
3/4 points, yielding members an average gain of over 26 percent in
less than one week.

<p>
But don't get the idea that Day Traders On-line is bearish on the
tech sector. Far from it. Their nightly report (sent to over 2000
traders worldwide each morning) has been consistently recommending
accumulating such stocks as <a
href="http://biz.yahoo.com/news/wdc.html";>Western Digital</a> (NYSE:<a
href="http://quote.yahoo.com/quotes?symbols=wdc&detailed=t";>WDC</a>), <a
href="http://biz.yahoo.com/news/nscp.html";>Netscape</a> (NASDAQ:<a
href="http://quote.yahoo.com/quotes?symbols=nscp&detailed=t";>NSCP</a>),
Gateway 2000 (NYSE:<a
href="http://quote.yahoo.com/quotes?symbols=gtw&detailed=t";>GTW</a>), <a
href="http://biz.yahoo.com/news/msft.html";>Microsoft</a> (NASDAQ:<a
href="http://quote.yahoo.com/quotes?symbols=msft&detailed=t";>MSFT</a>),
<a href="http://biz.yahoo.com/news/dell.html";>Dell
Computers</a> (NASDAQ:<a
href="http://quote.yahoo.com/quotes?symbols=dell&detailed=t";>DELL</a>),
America On-line (NYSE:<a
href="http://quote.yahoo.com/quotes?symbols=aol&detailed=t";>AOL</a>) and
<a href="http://biz.yahoo.com/news/amat.html";>Applied
Materials</a> (NASDAQ:<a
href="http://quote.yahoo.com/quotes?symbols=amat&detailed=t";>AMAT</a>)
among others.

<p>
In fact, members were positioned in Applied Materials at a price
of $89 1/2 as of Thursday the 7th, well ahead of blow out earnings by
the company which caused the stock to gap open sharply yesterday at
the market open. Readers of the newsletter playing AMAT cashed in
for a 8 1/2 point gain, netting them nearly 10 percent profits in
just over a week; this on the heals of nearly 20 percent gains in
shares of Western Digital last week.

<p>
Subscribers were alerted to <a
href="http://biz.yahoo.com/news/wdc.html";>Western Digital shares</a>
(NYSE:<a
href="http://quote.yahoo.com/quotes?symbols=wdc&detailed=t";>WDC</a>) on
July 30th at prices between $37 and $38 based on what Ray Johns,
senior editor and long time day trader himself, felt were strong
technical indicators in the stock. Starting August 5th, the stock
broke out and rallied from below $40 to over $50, yielding members an
average return of 18 percent in less than three weeks.

<p>
Other recent winners called at Day Traders On-line this week
include: Micron (NYSE:<a
href="http://quote.yahoo.com/quotes?symbols=mu&detailed=t";>MU</a>)
shorted at 58 1/8th for a 7.96 percent
gain, Gateway 2000 bought at 37 3/8 and sold at 39 for a 4.35 percent
gain, as well as current holdings including Dell Computer purchased
recently at 78 7/16, Intel (a slightly longer term play) and Cisco
Systems accumulated at prices as low as $75 a share.

<p>
``While these trades are excellent examples of what our service
can provide to members, we try to educate investors and traders as
well,'' said Johns. ``Teaching members how to reduce risk in this
market is just as important as locking down profits week after
week...even on trades that yield as little as 2.5 percent we like
to encourage members to take money off the table to reduce their
exposer.'' This is evident in a recent ``Market Commentary'' section
of the report as exhibited below:

<p>
``Reducing risk and protecting capital is critical. You must seek
to reduce risk and protect yourself at every turn in the stock
market, even at the expense of higher profits. Greed can be a
dangerous thing. Don't get us wrong, we are here to make money in
the markets, but not while opening ourselves up to excessive risks.
Always consider the risk to reward ratio of any trade before entering
into it. Keep that ratio low, trade quality stocks and more times
that not you'll find yourself holding a profitable position in the
end. Remember, it's better to miss a trade than enter into a bad
trade or one that you aren't 100% confident in. Always look to
reduce the risks when trading stocks.''

<p>
