Guy Gordon:

Dave Cardwell developed the notion a few years ago that RSI use could be
refined by visualising RSI ranges of 40 to 80 as uptrends, and ranges of 20
to 60 as downtrends.

He presented this approach to a TAG group conference for Computrac and
seemed to have made an interesting addition to the toolbox with this new angle.

I forgot all the details of it, but you would eventually see a long low
angled trendline broken after a trend change; you would ignore extreme
readings >80 or < 20; and you could have a kind of mid-range signal after a
reverse divergence.

Computrac may have some information on this, but I do not know how to
contact them. In fact I do not recall seeing the Computrac name recently.
