I can't make sense of Gann's writings, but I would be proud of myself if 
I could.  Nor have I really given him a fair shot, throwing in the towel 
after 25 pages and all that.

Meanwhile, here's an interesting remark by Alexander Elder (Trading for 
a Living, p.23)

"I interviewed W.D. Gann's son, an analyst for a Boston bank.  He told 
me that his famous father could not support his family by trading but 
earned a living by writing and selling instructional courses.  When W.D. 
Gann died in the 1950s, his estate, including his house, was valued at 
slightly over $100,000."
