Let me tell you somthing: that stinks. What I would expect from Equis ???
(hey do somthing about it) is a simple program in Pascal or C or Cobol,
which reads e-mail *.prn file with diffrent stocks and then updates ms
files. This could run even under
old good DOS, yes you could update your ms files in Dos and then work with
them under Win...
If Equis does not want to do it, may be someone could post that kind of
code.

Following the advice of many subscribers to this list I started out this
evening to copy all my data from downloaded by E-mail from the
moneynet.com.
First I copied all the text files into ms excel. Next we sorted all the
data in the spread sheet by date and symbol columns. Next converted the
spread sheet to excel version 4, than we hat to copy and paste into another
spread sheet to get the data in the right order (date, close, high, etc. )
and saved each stock update in a different file.
Next we used the downloader to convert the excel spread sheets to Metastock
files and finally we merged the data into each stock file under Metastock.
It works.
BUT, this is time consuming if you are tracking 25 stocks/mutual funds or
more and have to daily/ weekly update your stocks.
Our updated Metastock files, although some columns are missing data we
still can analyze with most of the indicators and use some of the advisors
commentaries.
