If am rebuilding my database and would like to have stocks allocated
to a particular folder or industry, how would I align my stocks in
notepad for transfer into amibroker?
For example: you have your sectors, this is no problem.
Basic Materials
Capital Goods
Conglomerates
Consumer Cyclical
Consumer/Non-Cyclical
Energy
Financial
Healthcare
Services
Technology
Transportation
Utilities
You have your industries with sector ID in front correct.
0 Unassigned
2 Aerospace/Defense
2 Aerospace/Defense Eqp
5 Agricultural Operations
4 Apparel-Clothing Mfg
4 Apparel-Shoes & Rel Mfg

11 Transportation-Truck
11 Trucks & Parts-Hvy Duty
12 Utility-Electric Power
12 Utility-Gas Distribution
Now, here the problem, if I want "Boeing Co" to go
in "Aerospace/Defense" I should be able to assign it a number 1
since Aerospace/Defense is number 2 down the column starting with 0
counting correct. Help me please
