This is not improvement at all.

 

Don't you think that pressing F4 is actually FASTER than "clicking inside a chart and typing symbol name"?

 

After all you must use your keyboard to enter symbol, so F4 key is right below your fingertips (opposite to mouse).

Is there a way to type in a symbol without first hitting F4?  Like, just clicking inside a chart and typing the symbol name.  Something similar to Esignal.
