Hi Group,
Via MC, I generate a large number of simulated prices in a loop. In
order to store these and apply buy/sell rules in Explore I use,
within the loop:
AddToComposite(SimPrice,"~SimPrice","X",23);
SetForeign("~SimPrice",True,True);
Buy= . . . etc.
PFEq=Equity();
RestorePriceArrays();
I had hoped that by using the ATC this way (23 is the combination of
atcFlagEnableInExplore and atcFlagDefaults), I could overwrite
the "~SimPrice" in each iteration within Explore. This turns out not
to be the case, since my PFEq turn out to be the same, i.e. seem
applied to a "fixed" ~SimPrice.
Obviously I DO NOT want to generate thousands of "~SimPrice" symbols
via Scan and something like
AddToComposite(SimPrice,"~SimPrice"+NumToStr(n,1.0),"X",23), with n
reflecting the iteration.
What am I doing wrong? Any thoughts/suggestions are most welcome.
Patrick
