Graham, if you are monitoring this, or anyone else who might be
interested.
not quite the same question, but maybe you can help me please.
I often find myself wanting to get the value of an array, usually to
use as a subscript or as a control. i have used loops, but it is often
klugy or cumbersome.
Most recently i wanted to set a high value for positionscore initially,
and slowly relax it, or set maxopenpositions to a small number and then
increase it. The idea being to slowly expose a portfolio to full market
risk. in each case i wanted to know barindex() as a scalar value to
adjust the variables from that point on until i reached a limit
controlled by max or min as appropriate..
Is there any simple way to extract the current barindex() of any array,
including barindex() itself as a scalar?
