use a text editor to cut and paste since you aren't that
familiar with the workings of Excel.

I've been trying to find a way to splice csv files together so
that I can splice futures contracts together. I want to create a
continuous contract file, but I can get free data from brite futures. I
just have to be able to splice it. What I've been doing is importing data
to Amibroker, exporting the files to a csv format, and then cutting and
pasting. Or trying to. It seems that every time I modify a file in
Excel I can't use the data in Amibroker anymore. I get a weird prompt
   like this:
CN05.csv may contain features that are not compatible
with CSV (comma delimited). Do you want to keep the workbook in this
  format?
If I click yes then I can't use the file to import anymore -
when I use the wizard I get an error in the date format. If I click no it
gives me the option to change the file to a .xls and then I can't use
it either. Is there a way around this? Why doesn't it just save it in
the same format? I knew there was a reason I became a
  biologist.
