 Bob,

I wrote this because DTN.IQ is not fully compatible with
DTN IQFeed,
as they admited on their own boards, see:

Obviously this is THEIR task to make both THEIR products
working together.

They also admited that it is their task: "The next
release of DTNIQ will use the full IQFeed implementation and will behave
with other applications"
(quote from IQFeed developer)

Surprisingly you don't see simple fact that it is data
vendor's responsibility to provide the API software that
will behave with other
applications.

Hopefully they will deliver promised *working* API 3.0
some day (they are promising it for 2+ years now and everytime it is "next
month/quarter")
 Best regards, Tomasz

  Resending:
The data looks good so far,
  Patrick.
  I was checking the NAZ-100 today [1-min
DB] and it matched eSignal visually IMO--my previous trials of IQFeed had
certainly led me to expect worse.
Not much matter because Tomasz just
informed me that I'm on my own.

  "As
for DTN.IQ - IQFeed plugin is designed to operate with IQFeed.Whenever DTN.IQ
is fully compatible with IQFeed or not is not really our problem, because we
do not offer DTN.IQ nor compatibility with DTN.IQ."

    Hi Bob,

Been a while -- hope all is doing
    well.

So how is the data from
DTN.IQ?  I've got a similar issue with eSig renewal coming up, but last
year (or maybe 18 months ago) when I tried DNT.IQ, I found it unworkable
because of erratic data spikes in price and occasionally volume.  By
spikes, I mean bad ticks being reported which were sometimes 2 to 10
multiples of the correct value.  Obviously made a chart
garbage.  If you're not seeing any of this, then perhaps they've
fixed the problem.  Seemed to be worst (if memory serves) on high
volume stocks or stocks with a lot of movement (like TIVO yesterday and
today).  If I shut down and restarted, the backfill didn't have
the spikes, but that wasn't a viable solution for intraday RT data.
Please continue the reports, I'm quite interested.

An update: Got DTN.IQ to feed AB, but
have some issues at this point.

Scan's are much faster than with
      eSignal.

      Bob

My eSignal year is up in June, hence
        my re-look at IQFeed.
I started to fill out their free
trial and talked to the rep; when he said 300 tickers and I commented
that it used to be 500, he mentioned that DTN.IQ gives 1300 tickers but
wasn't sure there was an API.
Trekked over to dtniq.com and found
that both feeds are accessed via the same API.
Signed up for the 1-week trial and
        will report what I find.

        Bob
