I'm playing around with AT systems, and have setup an Excel spread
that 'simulates' AT. Sometimes, like today, I forget to switch
from "daily" to "5-min", b/c I'm currently trading EOD only. Without
switching it, my 'experiment' doesn't produce any trades, and kinda
wastes the day.
(I know I can always just backtest, but I've found paper-trading to
be invaulable to see the real world potential to systems)
It would be great to have access to Periodicity, since a good number
of other AA Settings can be manipulated from AFL (and also allows me
to disregard the use of loading/saving/maintaing AA settting files)
I can pretty much just 'pick/load' my AFL file, and not have to worry
which AA settings file I have to load next.
Ok so basically, I'm lazy, but what do other people think? Wouldn't
it be slicker if there were more "field-types" added to the SetOption
AFL function?
Thanks for the reply William.
