[amibroker] Semi-Off Topic: InfoSelect Improvements

There is a new Version 8 beta (not linked on the main Miclog web page??). I picked this up from the InfoSelect yahoo group which I joined--nope, rather from Walid here on the AB list, but it is widely discussed on the IS yahoo group).  Some nice help messages there by a couple of people (which are now nicely captured on notes in IS).

The new version handles HTML email as described next:

"The new Info Select 8 includes the full support for HTML e-mail including CSS Style sheets, images, complex formatting and so on. You can also compose the HTML e-mail message in Info Select, or use an external HTML source for the e-mail message body. For example, you can create a template for the HTML e-mail message in any external HTML editor and then use it for creating new HTML messages in Info Select."

I am continuing to progress up the learning curve.

Help for Amibroker is right now in three camps.

1--Notes, links, etc for systems that I have active or want to investigate.

2--Specific AFL files I want to access quickly.

3--Background information on Amibroker. I will eventually try to outline this information along the lines I would like to see if it was in a published book.

Henry - IS doesn't support HTML conversion nor PDF.  I have a HTML 

to RTF converter and I'm working to convert the AB Guide to IS. I 

have the release notes in, but the guide is a compiled help file.   

I'm now stumped since decompiling the guide yields dozens of 

individual HTML modules that I've got to convert one by one. I 

haven't progressed very far with this since I think the outcome will 

be an accumulation of notes in IS that won't "hang together".  A 

search for anything in IS would assemble an answer and that maybe 

that's good enough. More work to do. Or get a copy of the guide from 

TJ in RTF format if available. 

Thanks for getting me started with this back in August, else I've a 

big mailbox to convert as well as AFL files.

Ken - glad to see you're finding use for the tool and sharing your 

experiences.
