Morning close. Now anyone with any appetite left can go and have
some lunch -- that is if they think they'll be able to keep it down
during the PM session. ^^_^^
Morning cash 225 low: 9787.98 Any doubt about whether we would see
9800 on this pullback is now officially resolved. ^_- Cash close
just a hair *below* that benchmark: 9796.80.
I suspect that's the low of the day, but I would not bet the farm on
it. As you might guess, and as I'm sure was the objective, we got a
big surge of volume as the 9870 area failed; prior to that volume was
quite unremarkable. Volume is now approaching or even exceeding
levels that would indicate more to come tomorrow however. But no
signals yet -- I have volume but not enough price action on the
brokers, and price action on at least one bank, but no volume on any
of them. I suspect volume may really drop off for a bit now; people
have been getting just ground up good here.
