[amibroker] AFL brackets and parentheses

Please explain to me when to 
use the different brackets that are shown in the user manual/online 
help:
 
[ ], ( ), and { } or are they 
interchangeable.
 
When is == used instead of 
 = ?
 
When should ++n be used instead 
of n?
