Dennis and Clyde:

Thank you very much for your taking the time to reply to my post.

I agree that we will likely see a rally in the DX; especially sense the news is SO bearish lately. I don't like trading with the crowed. I believe if the dollar was to really become de-valued, and countries like China were to completely move away from it, and stop using as a reserve currency; which is quite possible, it would rally and get everyone bullish first. This way the Power to Be, would have a stronger exit point (basic pump and dump). I am on the sideline at the moment; but I am looking to go long the dollar, if I can justify it with my technical indicators. Clyde's chart (if I am reading correctly) seems to support this view. It also seems to me; that Dow and S&P are now linked to the dollar (or the other way around); at least for now?if they continue to head down, this should support the dollar. Looking at the EUR and GBP on the intraday charts; MACD and RSI are heading down on the hourly; however, on the Daily, GBP and EUR the MACD and RSI are about to become bullish? this could turns out to be a fake move on the dailies; if so, I will short one or both? or if the DX breaks below (and holds below for a day) I will go long. Time will tell.

And, yes this could take weeks or months to play out? but the DX is getting close to key levels at 79.08 (June low) and 77.42 (Sept 08 lows).

Please feel free to tare my thinking apart? there is much to learn on this path.

Thanks again? ~kevin
