I listened to the Arch Crawford interview and he has August 6th, 2008 through March 2009 as a relentless decline...He also mentioned an very, very important and ominous date of August 16th. It could mark a catastrophic event occuring in US but affecting the world. Hmm.... Makes you wonder....

Dow drops 280 yesterday and can't even hold a recovery pop today. If
the 1987 analog is playing out, expect this to continue for the next
2-3 weeks as the index makes a slow motion crash pattern. S&P 900 may
not be far off. 

Again, no guarantees but I am more than fascinated by this almost
exact replication and I am getting a lot of bearish confirmations. My
long term model posted here a few weeks ago of the market finding a
major low is no longer validated.
