Re: RE: [RT] near a bottom

I have been working on a strategy that uses the Pearson r Correlation
Coefficient as a means of estimating points of Change In Trend.

The attached picture is of 30 minute bars of ES.  You will notice that
in this scenario the CIT has been fairly well called.

That is said to note that the strategy called for the trend to turn
positive in the middle of the day -- so maybe near bottom ! ! !

Closed out my long R2K at 760.10. Very strong performance today including an outside reversal, however the other major indexes lagged percentage-wise and closed off their highs. Breadth was ok but not overwhelming. Profits on long side have been hard to come by so decided to bank what I had and see what charts and breadth models look like tonight.

If this is the beginning of a Christmas rally, we could see 1600. If we get anywhere close, my primary objective will be to re-establish shorts at higher levels.

Covered short SnP at 1453 and went long the R2K at 749 with a tight leash. Gave up some profit when SnP didn't close the gap but that's life. I'll have to see how breadth looks at end of day (if I don't get stopped out) before deciding on whether to hold or fold.
