Don't feel bad Earl.
Eric Bolling, the NYMEX trader of Fast Money fame is likely long gold about 100 contracts...
so he is down "only" $440k.
Of course, his short in crude oil is up over 1 million the past 2 weeks to offset this unfortunate "mistake".

Big mistake on gold was not trading the failure ... gold is down $4,400 per contract from my stop. Would have made my small loss back in spades if I had done a stop and reverse instead of a simple stop. A reminder of what I sometimes forget ... a failure on a good setup can be very powerful.

The lack of selling volume on the lower low should be bullish as is the break above the TL. Am lightly long and looking for the TL to hold as support. I will get more bullish if price confirms by moving up.

Here's another interesting trade. Note the volume on the last two lows with absence of selling volume on the last, lower low. Upside trendline break followed by a retest. Entry on the retest with add on the breakout. Favorable seasonality.
