Re: [RT] Quad-head video cards

An update.

I found a cheap solution to my quad-head video card dilemma. The
problem was that while most computers have several PCI slots for
accessories, they usually have only one AGP slot for video cards.
Nowadays, dual and quad video cards are only AGP.

Rather than scrapping my Matrox G400 dual-head card and replacing it
with a quad-head card for $600-$800, my solution was to add a second
dual-head card, but this one is a $115 PCI Matrox G450. This was the
only PCI dual-head card I've been able to find.

Works like a charm.

Subject: [RT] Quad-head video cards

I'm adding two flat panel LCD monitors to my existing dual CRT
set-up. I've been happy with my Matrox Millennium G400 dual-
head video card for many years, but it's time to replace it.

Any recommendations on a quad-head card that can handle a
mix of CRT and LCD monitors?

Also, does anyone know of any rack systems that can hold two
19" CRTs and two 19" LCD monitors?

Thanks.
