I think it was normal post climactic [previous indices rise, rate
cut, elections] profit taking. It is a coin toss about the Dow and
other indices as I see it.
There are a lot of opportunities out there though-long and short.

Pretty hard sell-off today but the VIX barely budged. In fact, the
VIX has
been showing overbought for 2 weeks. I'm guessing more tomorrow.
