There was a post going back awhile ,,that pointed out that the
canned paintbar available in TS namly the "%R < x "and "%R> x" were
very similar to the ones programmed into ASKi ..

Yea, call me back after at least 6 more months
experimenting with stuff like TPO and ASCTrend, and other store bought
brainiac ideas. That is, if you have any trading funds left. ;~)
And if that sounds a little harsh, then
consider it fair warning, you could find yourself standing in knee deep
quicksand in no time.
Look, it took me 18 months of programming (no
trading whatsoever) to come up with something I'd put my money on. Literally
hundreds of systems are in my trash bin. A couple dozen purchased disasters
litter my book shelves (but they did teach me a lot). The number of promising
"near misses" is in double digits. This is not as easy as it looks, and it's
the biggest "newbie" mistake thinking that it is... everything looks so
logical and practical, until you pick up a corner and see the maggots crawling
underneath.
You seem like an intelligent guy. But
intelligent people can act real dumb when it comes to over-optimized clap-trap
whispered in their ears. I know because I was there. I still recall an
"infamous" report I made regarding what I thought was a "super system" I had
dreamed up early on. Boy I thought I was the cat's meow... It's taken me a
long time to be taken even a little seriously again by anyone who read that
pompous piece of crap.
So do exactly what you're doing... try
everything... do everything.... buy everything... program 80 hours a week
until your eyeballs fall out. You'll get to where you want to be.
But don't be too judgmental if others don't
agree with you along the way.

Did I read that correctly, you didnt think that
was helpful. I need some software to keep me in trades. I have had some very
good entries lately, but got out too early and left a lot of money on the
table. I have been using some trend following software called ASCTrend <A

expensive. Any suggestions?
