Steve, thanks. I have resisted "upgrading" to IE/OE 6 because I am loathe to
have more of Microsoft's "improved marketing" garbage hosted on my machine
... they will have to drag me screaming to "upgrade" from W2000 to WXP. It
really pisses me off that the IE/OE 5.5 critical updates remove my Google
search settings replacing them with MS searches not to mention other changes
MS makes. At any rate, I seem to be safe for the time being.

  Does not look like the settings for OE 5.50.4807.1700 which is the latest
  version of OE 5.5 with all updates applied.

  Try these settings in outlook express to block viruses from loading
  automatically!
  I use McAfee online and it never alerted me of a virus - probably because
it
  never was executed due to my outlook settings.
