I believe it was late Summer/Early Fall when it happened.. I lived in
Anchorage at the time and we were in shock seeing the black smoke come from
Elmendorf runway... obviously no survivors.... I don't know how long it
takes to make (replace) those.... I know they cost a pretty penny........
soooooooooo... anyway...   at the time I had heard that we had two in USA so
don't know if that is true.. we may have more by now... but would make sense
if they have not replaced that one during Clinton admin that would explain
need ....AT least we are getting something for the U.N and Nato  dues we
pay....???
