Inspired by a Jubak column on MSN, where he tried to (rather
belatedly) identify the 10 most overvalued tech. stocks, I used Yahoo's
stock screener (<A target=_blank
href="http://screen.yahoo.com/stocks.html";>http://screen.yahoo.com/stocks.html)
and see what it came up with for the most expensive stocks.I decided
limited my search to non-penny stocks: (price > $20), that trade decent
volume (> 1 mil. ave. volume), with earnings (any P/E greater than 0 will
screen out neg. earnings - I used a min. of 25), sales greater than $100M a
year.The valuation criteria that I used was a Price/Sales ratio of
greater than 15; the list was sorted the from high-to-low.Out of the

The breakdown by industry group is:

These are all clearly strong companies, highly
valued by the market (I was a surprised to see Paychex in this mix.)
Still, at these lofty valuations, one wonders how much further these stocks can
appreciate?
