Per 100 shares (1 contract) - the cost comes out to a few ticks worth of
slippage.
Re b-a spread, most brokers are "supposed" to give you best bid/best offer.
Only a few really do, but with most quote systems you can figure out the
exchanges and direct your orders accordingly.
True, market orders clean up on you.
