Re: [RT] Globex vs ACE fill algorithm

Thanks for the info. I had an 9828 OB order already in the pit
during a 12 minute period beginning 852 where trades repeatedly ticked down
to my price but went unfilled. Not the first time I've had this happen
on an order to trade a retracement which is of course always followed by a
move in my desired trading direction. This time I happened to be also
watching the ACE feed where I believe I would have been filled on a
FIFF algorithm based on trades at 28 and would have been guaranteed a fill
when the best bid ticked down to 27 and best ask to 28.

ACE should prove to be a bit more friendly to the small
trader.

  A/C/E
is first in first out.  Project A used an algorithm weighing the size
of the order.  LIFFE also uses an order size algorithm.

algorithim at any given price which insures a level playing field for
smaller traders. I'm seeing more and more trading in the ACE
(electronic) bonds and I'm wondering if they use the same first in first
filled algorithm or an algorithm weighted by order size which would
favor larger traders? With ACE at the retail level being offered/planned
by a number of updated order entry systems, a FIFF algorithm might
provide better fills to small traders when price is trading at
    support/resistance. Earl <FONT
