I'm not sure if you got an answer to thi already, but if you didn't then
here's one.  With a real time data feed, the daily bar in a chart is
shown every tick of the way as it forms.  If the range in the first hour
is ten ticks then the daily bar will have a ten tick range for that day
so far.  If your system depends on closing prices, it can be set to
update every tick, as if the last tick was the last tick of the day.
