What a mouthful, but I do want to be civil.
I am a learner, so let me ask teacher something, since you have anointed
yourself with this title.
1. If the essence of education, including trading education is to
communicate, and we all know that trader education is full of scams, liars,
less than honest purveyor of wares, con artists etc. WHY DO YOU NOT EDUCATE
INSTEAD OF USING MYSTICAL REFERENCES, allusions to foxes and goats, all of Old
Testament symbolism.. HOW ABOUT USING THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
2. So here are a few questions to test your 'teacher learner skills'
- WHY WAS GANN MISUNDERSTOOD? - he was misunderstood only by those who
misunderstood him. Gann like most of us was a very complex man, with no doubt
all sorts of agendas. I found out that his $5000 course was the equivalent of
buying a decent house today. So there was a lot of money involved. That is not
to discredit him. Also he never told people that he was a financial
astrologer, at least the general public. GANN USED ASTROLOGY. Again that is
not to discredit him. JUST THE FACTS. However not exactly PR for selling
courses. Gann made his famous predictions, not by using technical analysis,
Gann lines, DGL's, F-Dates, but by the study of planetary cycles. So YES ,
GANN IS MISUNDERSTOOD, IF YOU CANNOT ACCEPT THE FACT THAT HE WAS AN
ASTROLOGER. HE was no doubt a good technical analyst, and probably just a very
brilliant man. Why do you think he was misunderstood?
- Which brings me to TH Murrey - WHY CANNOT HE COMMUNICATE IN PLAIN ENGLISH ?
After looking at his book I wanted to gift him a word processor. Now maybe he
speaks in parables, has an obsession with numbers, and in England would be
considered eccentric, and maybe he is essentially disorganized, BUT HE SURE
HAS A PR PROBLEM. He does not do himself, or anyone a service, by talking in
mubo jumbo. Now it is a free country, and he is protected by the First
Amendment to speak the way he does, however it is not good for business, or
education, to have people thinking you are a raving lunatic, unless you are.
- So GerryJ/Jer33:3 how about using your skills to communicate to Mr Murrey,
that he may actually have an audience, if we could figure out what the hell he
is talking about.
- This note is relevant to realtraders, as it deals with trading philosophy,
communication of trading ideas, and colorful characters who seem to emerge in
this trading culture.
- This IS NOT MEANT TO BE MALICIOUS. I AM WRITING IN PLAIN ENGLISH TO FURTHER
