Below are the results of our weekly "Guess the Dow" sentiment survey.
The survey was taken from 12/8 through 12/14 on our web site.
Number of participants: 329
30 day outlook:
35% bullish, 49% last week
28% bearish, 27% last week
38% neutral, 23% last week
(percentages may not sum to 100 due to rounding)
Median guess for the DJIA closing value on Friday, 12/19: 7980 (it
was 8041 last week). More complete sentiment data is available at

Sentiment was mixed last week. While the bears stayed almost even at
28%, the bulls fled to the neutral camp. Bulls dropped 14% to 35%, and
neutral sentiment picked up 15% to 38%. The drop in bullish sentiment
is to be expected given the five days of declining prices last week.
All in all, sentiment paints a clouded picture this week.
