Here's a book someone recommended for countertrend trading.

Trading Choppy Markets, by R. Barnes.
Book has many specific counter-trend strategies for trading choppy markets with
some historical testing. There are about 20 methods or variations presented.
Each has equations, and figures, suggested stop strategies, a backtest on one
or two markets, and a summary. It will take approximately the same energy
to read this as a 400 pg. math textbook. This is not to say the concepts or
equations are complicated, it's just specific, which actually is good!
