quoting VIX levels. Conclusive evidence it's either a market top or
near-term botttom.

DR,
Even at todays levels for the VIX we should still expect to see intraday
moves on the DJIA of + or - 150 pts. So I would think we would have to
get back up to about 7900 - 8000 to be out of the woods on the upside. We
also should have just as good a chance at seeing 7300-7200 in the same
time period. I think we still have room for plenty of action on both
sides over the next week or two.
