After thinking about it and not just flapping my jaws - the number is 8 not 6. Example "C:\PROGRA~1\OMEGAR~1\Program\ORTrade.exe /dde".

Correction - "equal to or less than 6 characters"

Dennis,

Renaming the "Omega Research" folder won't work because Omega uses a *bunch* of 8.3 file and directory names in the Registry and instead of Omega Research you get OMEGAR~1 or OMEGAR~2 etc like "C:\PROGRA~1\OMEGAR~1\Program\ORTrade.exe /dde". However, copying the "MyWork" folder from the old drive to the new one should be OK (no guarantees) since it is less than 6 characters - from my Registry "C:\PROGRA~1\OMEGAR~1\MyWork".

Actually, I'm pretty sure you can just rename the new Omega Research
folder and copy in the old one to get all your data and symbol universe
stuff too.
