Is there a market for baking trading strategies into hardware?
How much on average do "protected trading strategies" sell for?
I love the idea of selling virgin "dongles" with some software.
Trading strategy developers could then compile their secret strategies
to the dongle and distribute them to customers who would simply connect
those to the USB port and hook them up to their favorite trading
platform
of choice.
Of course, the same can be achieved with compiling strategies to DLLs
but that approach would offer no protection against hackers.
