excel

I am new to excel as a trading platform. Are there
functions that already exist for my needs?
 
I need to generate a buy and sell signal
 
in a column-
 
    if the previous cell was lower than the current
cell then buy
 
    if the previous cell was higher the the current
cell then sell
 
count how many cells from the buy signal to the sell
signal and vice versa
 
calculate the p/l
