Thank for the note.  Yes, I know Bob Fulks solution
works, but I would like to compute values for * SPARSE
* data. 

Also, what is the fastest algorithm to compute
Standard Error and Slope using sparse data in the
least amount of time?  So this is NOT the same
question. 

Any idea what went wrong with the algorithm I posted?
