I have been looking at various search tools too. The once that I found also
helpful are:

www.x1.com

I used to use lookout for my outlook but the presentation with X1 is great.
I downloaded Copernicus and it looks even better. Good call, thanks. I also
have the Google desktop search on my computer, it is fast but I am not so
impressed with the presentation of the results.

Privacy concerns have been expressed about the combination of an
online search engine and desktop search engine. Although Google says
they don't have access to your hard disk, it would be interesting to
see if the application phones home.

Another concern is if others have access to your system, either
directly or by network. See

Personally, I would lean toward a standalone application like Copernic
Desktop Search (see www.copernic.com/en/products/desktop-search ) and
use a firewall to prevent outbound communications from the
application.

All,

I don't know how hard it is for you to find things on your systems, but I
just discovered that Google now has a "personal" version (just go to
google.com and it is right there). You download it to your system and it
immediately takes off and sets up a "google" of your system, INCLUDING
emails (you just have to keep your email open).

I have found it invaluable to find stuff I have been trying to find for a
long time. Also, to find those old emails about stuff I knew was there, but
wasn't sure how to find it. Yes, lack of organization is probably my
problem, BUT anyway, just thought I would recommend you take a look!
