"best practices" for splits

I'd appreciate some comments about what anyone prefers in respect to
changing historical data when a stock splits. At the moment I'm in favor
of changing the data to reflect the current price and volume, in
historical terms (in www.ufdb.com). As a split is announced, I'd
back-adjust the data. Anyone have any suggestions or preferences.
