Dennis your answer is not quite correct.
DAX (cash) Index is calculated until 17:30 CET. After this
there's a kind of late session where LDAX is calculated (don't know if
esignal does track it). During this late session stocks are traded on
the floor only and not on the electronic trading system Xetra,
therefore there are almost no institutionals around and volume is very
thin.
Trading time for DAX futures hasn't changed they trade from 9 to 20
hours ( same for EuroStoxx futures).
Options on stocks and indices are being traded from 9 until 17:30 CET.
Not quite logic.
