rpc server error

I recently experienced an error that crashes my ts2k charting saying "rpc server error".

The chart function turns white and requires a reboot.  The GS seems to still collect data.

I tried reinstalling sp5 over it but it does not seem to have an effect.

My machine has 512 m ram. 45 gig hd ( only 8 gig used) and a pent 4 processor. bmi feed

Any ideas on how to fix this?
