Re: Difference in market breadth quotes between various rt data vendors

PureBytes Links

Trading Reference Links

People look into it every time this question comes up. There is only one
thing in OB that generates signals: the Advancing issues. So obviously,
that can be the only cause of different signals. I have seen different
trades over the same period of time based on data downloaded from different
Quote.com servers, let alone different data vendors. I believe someone
uploaded a data series to www.traders2traders.com so everyone could test
from the same data.

Subject: Difference in market breadth quotes between various rt data vendors

Hi list,

I've been monitoring various systems (incl. OB, thanks MB) that use
market breadth (advancing, declining issues etc) and noticed that they
signal at different times, depending on which feed is used (eSignal or
DTN in my tests).

The difference seems to be quite substancial, so I wonder if anyone has
looked further into the cause of this.
