hotkey or 'other' for fileappend

Is there any faster way to fileappend (in my case: some Performance Summary
detail) on selected charts only, while stepping through a list of stocks ?

So far I have been using an Input as a switch. This is slow though as I have
to stop, open the inputs, edit it, close, reopen, null it, close......and so
it goes on.

A hotkey would be great. Is there anything built into TS, or is the only
means via a utility such as Macro Express ?
