My approach to optimizing XP last week was to replace it with 2000.  Works
great.  The only redeeming factor I saw in XP was the built-in PPPoE dialer.
And it was oh so slow and crashed oh so many times -- just installing basic
software.

I love that 24 at Frys too...thing is that you can buy 6-7 refurbed Dell
trinitron 21s for the price of one of those.  And I don't need to turn in
the heat in winter. :-)
