You can do either - it makes no difference.
The best is to take the option with the largest open interest for liquidity
sake.
You need a lot of capital to make it worth while - I used to use 100 calls
versus 50 futures and try to close to position as soon as possible. I could
never figure out a decent exit strategy technically.
Correct you are basically looking for exhaustion points, Inside week
breakouts, double tops and bottoms, and successive lower closes etc etc
etc.
