i agree and practice this too, except i trade off an inet feed and keep bmi for a backup when the server farms get whacky (slow is better than than no :)) comparing one feed against another to check quote delay is not a valid methodology...too many variables on the transmission end of things (sat, cable, inet)

looks like it's time to chuck bmi even as a backup feed...when the ssf floodgate opens, look out! as bobr and jim alvis suggested in another thread, an ethernet solution will be the only way to keep up with the anticipated data flood
