Enabling Update On Every Tick

I have an indicator that plots text on the screen. At times I want it to
update with every tick and at other times I don't.  I know that you can
right click on plots and check "Update Every Tick" without having to go to
properties on the Format Indicator mode.  Is there a way to add this feature
to my indicator rather than having to go through "Format Indicator -
Properties".
