Exit at End of day?

If i'm doing intraday studies, how would I indicate that if a position 
is open at the end of the day, I want to close it at the close of the 
day?

Right now, I just check to see if the Time = Sess1EndTime.  If it is, 
then I assume it's the end of the day and I do an
ExitLong at close
ExitShort at close

Is this appropriate?
