Interesting to note that except for the Compaq system, the IDE/ATA systems
scored better on I/O than the SCSI systems. I have always bought IDE
because of the price differential and because with the recent (last 6-7
years) advances in IDE technology, I suspected that the performance
differential was not that great. This provides good evidence that that
assumption was correct.

This comparison was in a recent issue of an ezine I get. They ran a
Solid modeling CAD benchmark on 7 nearly identical machines (except for
CPU/MB). I thought it was interesting. Draw your own conclusions.
